We build consumer software against organised fraud — the industrial kind, run at scale by people who are good at it and who increasingly use AI to do it faster.
Why this
Fraud is one of the few crimes where the victim is routinely blamed for falling for it. That framing is both wrong and useful to the people running it: someone who feels stupid does not report, does not warn their family, and does not call their bank in the narrow window where the money can still be recalled.
The tooling available to an ordinary person is also poor. Bank warnings are generic, carrier filters are invisible, and the advice is mostly "be careful" — which is not a capability. We think a person should be able to ask a direct question about a specific message and get a direct, explained answer.
How we work
Never claim something is safe.
Our tools report what was found, not what wasn't. A checker that says "safe" is making a promise it cannot keep, and a false assurance is the most harmful thing a fraud tool can say. When nothing known-bad turns up, we say exactly that, and say it is not the same as safe.
Useful before you pay, and without an account.
The core of what we build works anonymously and free. Someone frightened by a message at eleven at night should not first have to make an account, and should not hit a paywall at the moment they most need an answer.
Keep as little as the job allows.
We hold the minimum a tool like this can function on, we say plainly what that is, and erasing it is one action inside the app. We do not sell it, advertise against it, or train models on it.
Write for the person who is worried.
Our default reader is not technical, may be seventy-eight, and may be frightened. That sets the reading level, the type size, and the tone everywhere — not as an accessibility checkbox added at the end, but as the specification we design against from the start.
