If you have just been scammed
Do not wait on an email from us — the first hours are the ones that matter. Call your bank's fraud line using the number on the back of your card and ask them to reverse or recall the payment.
For a trained human right now, the AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline is free and open to everyone, member or not: 877-908-3360, Monday to Friday. Report it afterwards at IdentityTheft.gov, which builds you a personal recovery plan.
